Project Description

Duékoué represents a highly prospective molybdenum-copper prospect located in the District des Montagnes in western Côte d’Ivoire, which is the subject of a Joint Venture Partnership and earn-in agreement with La Miniere de L’Elephant SARL (“Laminele”).

The project is strategically located on the Archean-Proterozoic boundary, where discoveries are exhibiting significant iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) and porphyry system characteristics, similar to leading deposits in Brazil and Australia.

Supported by compelling historical data and strong geochemical anomalies, the project offers a rare opportunity to advance a potentially world-class Mo-Cu deposit through focused, data-driven exploration.

Initially identified in the 1970s by SODEMI, exceptionally high molybdenum-in-soil values exceeding 1000ppm were detected in the area with copper anomalies in the 250-300ppm range. The 3.2km arcuate molybdenum anomaly remains a primary exploration focus, indicating significant potential for valuable mineral deposits.

Phase I of exploration, which included geological mapping, soil sampling and ground magnetic surveys, has successfully confirmed the historical Mo-Cu anomalies and has allowed for confidence in the use of this data as part of the next phase of exploration.

Phase 2 is expected to include pitting and trenching to further investigate the geology and mineralisation, with any drill campaign being focused accordingly.

IOCG Systems are global sources of copper and gold; major deposits include:

  • Olympic Dam, South Australia (BHP)
  • Carrapateena, South Australia (BHP)
  • Prominent Hill, South Australia (BHP)
  • Carajas mining complex in the Amazon Region, Para, Brazil (Vale)

Duékoué has shown historical evidence of a similar geological setting to global IOCG provinces and has the potential to become a significant copper discovery in West Africa.
